How to Join Our Club
WHY JOIN A FOUR WHEEL DRIVE CLUB? So, you've just purchased a four wheel drive vehicle. Do you know how to drive it? How to make the best use of the gears? The different techniques needed to be able to drive in mud or sand, and the best way of maintaining traction at all times? Are you thinking of putting some accessories on your vehicle? A winch, driving lights, tires, suspension modifications, or whatever? Will your choice be what's best for your vehicle? Are you aware of the responsibilities that come with owning a four wheel drive vehicle? Do you know where you can legally drive your vehicle off-road? And, if so, in the best interests of the environment? If your answer is NO to any of the above, then organized four wheeling is the best solution to getting into the four wheel drive scene safely and responsibly. ADVANTAGES OF CLUB MEMBERSHIP Our four wheel drive club is family oriented and caters to family participation in all club activities. Our club promotes racing and the organization of trail rides and/or trips of varying duration to interesting and challenging locations. The majority also get involved in community activities and projects that deal with natural resource conservation. Tiretown 4 Wheelers has formed groups who are ready to help during disasters. Our club is a large family unit whose activities might include social outings and functions, interclub get togethers, and offer the unique opportunity to be with folks with similar vehicles and interests. Members are kept aware of issues and important legislation affecting the sport, and are able to contribute to its well being and future through promoting and practicing responsible four wheel drive activity, as well as getting involved in leadership roles. Tiretown 4 Wheelers also assists community organizations in clean-ups, and the opportunity exists to use your vehicle in the best interests of the community.
